  1. In my opinion No: 8 works rather well ,tasks dived into segments & at the end of that time segment, reward yourself by doing something pleasurable. If drinking a Coffee is pleasurable, that’s your reward. Then work for another time segment. Give yourself another short-term reward that brings you pleasure, such as reading or watching your favourite news column/show. Relief from stress is a powerful natural reward as well. You feel great your task is complete and importantly you have overcome procrastinating.

  2. Most people procrastinate because deep inside they don’t have a sense of urgency, they thought they can do it tomorrow or do it later. According to me i beleive that point no 1 stop being perfectionist or being a excellence as It will hinder you from getting started and point no 4 as elimination of distraction is necessary to concentrate on your task .

  3. It is important to understand some times If you find yourself thinking “I don’t feel like doing this now” or “I’ll have time to work on this later,” then you need to recognize that you are about to procrastinate. In order to overcome from this, set specific deadline to acomplish task so No 4 point is vital. Commit to task and rewarding yourself (No. 8) is also essential each time what drives us to stay motivated is as individual as who we are, more you know and understand yourself, the more effective your efforts will be.

  10. Greetings for the day! A very happy Makar Sankranti to all. According to me, no one is perfect in one way or the other and yes, very rightly said in above points that one should not try to be a perfectionist and instead of accomplishing the task in one go, it is always better to split it in different parts and tackle it that way. One must possess a positive attitude as the circumstances never remain the same…there is a beautiful poetry line as well,If Winter comes, can Spring be far Behind?…NO”, this means that the first failure doesn’t mean that the mission cannot be accomplished in another attempt. One must be positive as well as optimistic – “Try try again, until you succeed.”

  13. I feel points 1,4,9,10 are more effective to avoid procrastination… We should keep motivating our students unless they reach the stage when they are self motivated besides we need to set an example for them by completing the work before time.. I always prefer preparing for the things well before deadline to avoid any last minute chaos.. 😌

  14. All the points are important but no. 3, 4, 5 are very much important, according to me.
Setting of dead lines makes you more focus towards your duties.
If we would avoid destraction ; we will keep walking towards our set tasks.
In last but not the least if we would keep ourselves stress free; up mentioned points would cover in this question. If we work in a stress free atmosphere; we could give better results.

  16. According to me point no 8 is more important because rewards can motivate everyone…. Rewards remembered in whole life…… When children get rewards from teachers they remembered….. They easily motivate to their goal. Teachers also provide the stress free work environment… then students will give 100 percent to their work and teachers will get 100 percent results from the students.

  17. Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. It could be further stated as a habitual or intentional delay of starting or finishing a task despite its negative consequences. It is a common human experience involving delay in everyday chores or even putting off salient tasks such as attending an appointment, submitting a job report or academic assignment, or broaching a stressful issue with a partner. Although typically perceived as a negative trait due to its hindering effect on one’s productivity often associated with depression, low self-esteem, guilt and inadequacy, it can also be considered a wise response to certain demands that could present risky or negative outcomes or require waiting for new information to arrive.

  20. My heart absolutely goes with the quote stated above. A task should not be extended. In fact, in now a day’s world that is so competitive, you can’t even risk it. Things should be planned and done in advance if you want to raise yourselves from crowd. I will go with point no. 1, 3, 4 and 10 of the above checklist to support the given idea. What I think that one should not run to be perfect. Actually, nobody is perfect .Everybody starts as immature. So why to hesitate .Give a push up and enjoy that immaturity too. One must set the goals first to achieve them as they give direction to your dreams. Distractions should not be given any space in your trajectory they should be dumped right in the beginning. And now the last but not the least, do carry a positive attitude in you, only then you will be able to make out what you are aspiring for.

  23. According to me best way to overcome Procrastination is ‘Break your Task’, and scheduling the time for each task. A planned break is something that a person can look forward to and reduces the chances of becoming bored or tired. Breaks may be considered a reward for the time spent working without distraction. Plan something relaxing or enjoyable for the scheduled break, regardless of whether it is a five, ten or fifteen minute break. Once the break is over, return to work until it is time for the next one.

  29. Procrastination is highly rewarding because it relieves stress, anxiety, and other negative emotions. When rewards are small, frequent, and deserved, they work wonders. Overcome this mental block by avoiding long stretches of work. Schedule frequent and brief breaks. Plan small rewards along the way.

  31. According to me,once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results. So, one must have positive thinking first. Secondly, remind yourself of the original moment you set your goal and must remember the reasons you want to achieve that goal. In the last, set specific deadline for your task as it will create the competitive nature among the students to complete their task and helps them to overcome procrastination.
