  1. In my opinion , No: 4 ( Listen & Encourage Others to Talk ) holds immense potential of having an everlasting impact. I have experienced that often Managers/Teachers think their role as a mentor is to impart their great wisdom onto their Students/Team members. But wait… this is really only half of what is most effective. A great Teacher or Manager is able to ask the right questions and listen to their Students to really be able to understand them. Then, you can share how you have dealt with a similar situation in the past. Remember, however, that what worked for you may not work for someone else. Hear them out first and then you can brainstorm ways to address the issue together – this becomes an unforgettable experience for Students. Also, research shows that this can also have a positive impact on the Teachers / Managers own job satisfaction.

  2. It is not an exaggeration to say that a great teacher can change a student’s life. As some of the most influential role models for developing students, teachers are responsible for more than just academic enrichment. If you want to be a great educator, you must connect with your students and reach them on multiple levels, because the best teachers are committed to their students’ well-being both inside and outside the classroom. so accordingly no 3 and 4 as it helps to build relationship positivily and gives a great impact through out their lives as by forging strong relationships, educators are able to affect virtually every aspect of their students’ lives, teaching them the important life lessons that will help them succeed beyond the education achievements.

      1. I think no. 4 is highly important.
When we encourage someone to talk and when we listen them patiently; it gives wonderful results. It makes someone feel important and we can get wonderful ideas from someone. And this is the way teachers can make lasting impression.
Admitting our faults quickly and taking responsibility is one of good point for earning trust and credibility. I think there is nothing wrong in this; we leave a impression of honesty.

  3. In my opinion point no.. 4 (listen and encoursge others to talk) matters a lot. An effective classroom teacher is not only a knowledgeable or skilled teachers but he/ she is also a good active listener and always encourage others to present theirself in front of others Listening skils also helps in negotiating with students in any class room conflicts.Listening is a two-way process: you, as the teacher do most of the talking but you must also learn to listen to the students; the students spend a lot of time listening to you, and will also benefit from improved listening skills. Both teacher and student must learn to respect each other . Students must develop their own educational plan which involves searching for and finding solutions to their everyday problems or queries.

  4. Teacher student relationship forms the basis of social context in which learning takes place. Now in these days teacher student relationship is changed. In previous time, we are scared from our teachers we did not tell about our feelings but now it’s totally changed… Teachers understand the psychology of students and teach them in that way where they easily learn.. According to me, following points will applying over students for positive and permanent impact on their lives are as follows : 1. Use their names…. When we call according to their names they feel positive thoughts towards teachers… 2. Listen and encourage to other talk…. Teacher must be a good listener They motivate to students for telling what they want. 3. Dramatize your ideas and tell a story….. Students easily motivate from a story. They liked most and share with another… In this way student teacher relationship will goes friendly and student always remember what they learn.

    1. You are right , Madam. Dramatising is so important. In fact, Lack of drama can undermine our message, the way certain plain/ boring presentation slides tend to undermine solutions. So when we find our self with a point we really need to make, think how you can infuse a little drama! Fact is, we live in the days of showmanship.” It’s not enough to tell why your idea is best, we have to use flair. Think about the advertisements you see in print or on television. You don’t just see laundry detergent facts, you see dirty clothing transformed into spotless clean!

  6. According to me point no.1,2,3,4 are very important to have good bonding with students. If this kind of bond persist that is time when students recognize that a teacher truly wants the best for them, they are willing to try harder in the classroom. Many students don’t understand that schoolwork, while it may not be fun, is beneficial for them in the long run. Unfortunately, many students view schoolwork on a superficial basis. Schoolwork is viewed as something that isn’t fun and doesn’t provide a benefit. However, by building a stronger relationship with students, teachers can help their students recognize the value of their work.

  7. Role Models are people who others imitate, emulate or look to for guidance. There are good role models who inspire greatness in others and bad role models who are what we call “bad influences.” There are even anti-role models pegged by the media as “bad girls” or “bad boys” who serve as good examples of what NOT to do if you want to become a successful, respected person. Every parent wants their children to have positive role models who have the characteristics that inspire them to want to be (and become) their very best.

  8. According to me Principle no.4,5,6 are most important because a lot of teachers are aware of the importance of teacher-student relationship. This knowledge comes from the direct interaction between teachers and students which have led to more positive responses of students who had had their teachers’ support. Conversation is one of the most basic and essential communication skills. Build better speakers and writers of tomorrow by challenging your students to think critically, listen actively, and work together. A well-planned discussion can encourage and stimulate student learning and add variety to your class. Teacher-student relationships promote a sense of school belonging and encourage students to participate cooperatively.

    1. You are right about No: 6( Make Students Feel Important ) , Madam. While pursuing an advanced Executive Management Programme , I was briefed about One of the many tales of The Arabian Nights which tells the story of a treasure cave that could only be opened if the person said the magic words, “Open Sesame!” At that sound, the vast wall would move aside, and unlimited treasures would be revealed, available to the person who had uttered the magic words. In putting people first, the “Open Sesame!” of human relationships is to “make others feel important.” Making young Students feel important satisfies the deepest subconscious cravings of their nature.

  9. To make a lasting impression, points 2,4 and 6 are really important… when we tell something with a smiling, it gives a long lasting impression on their mind… And to earn trust and credibility, points 4,6 and 9 are useful, when we dramatize our idea or tell in the form of a story, it would be more effective to avoid boredom and leave a strong impact… it would be more productive… Some points are quite useful for small children as well.. 😌

    1. You’re so right , Madam. I think giving credit to others simply shows gratitude. And gratitude is an essential ingredient in building faith and loyalty in one’s Teacher. Teachers are not interested in personal accolades as much as the well being of their Students and their overall mission. They express their gratitude to their Students whenever they can.I can even say with confidence that people , all ages , are usually more motivated to succeed by credit or recognition than even money itself.Great Teachers give credit , to motivate Students even more.

  10. According to me point 4 & 6 are important. According to no.4 we should listen others and give them chance to speak as a teacher we should be more patient with students.
According to no.6 (make feel others important) we know students are important we should make them feel by encouraging, caring, clear their doubt’s.We should understand that how we can make them comfortable.

  11. In my opinion all points are equally important but if we talk about the major point then point no. 4 is most important. As all students listen to the teacher but teacher should give right to all students to speak their own views… It will give them a chance to explore ,to think and to give their best.

All the points are equally important.what matters a lot are principles 4,5,6-teachers should be role models for the students.there should not be dictatorship in class environment.students also be given a chance to present their views.A teacher and student both need to be a good listener.listening to each other will improve their interpersonal skills.positivity is to be imbibed in them. They can also have better ideas. There should be two way communication process.students should be allowed to express themselves as well after listening to the teacher.this will allow their relationship to be built in constructive manner.

  13. It’s absolutely true that Teacher and Students relation is the most powerful relation. According to me point no. 2,4 and 6 are very essential. Teacher’s expression puts a great effect on student’s life. While a teacher is able to listen every student very carefully this gives encouragement to other student’s also to speak and this also makes student to feel that yes, I am very much important for my teacher and with these important tasks only a teacher and a student relationship become strong and respectful.

  15. Smile is the most powerful weapon . And i believe it is said very rightly .
A smiling teacher and the one who make her students believe that they matter alot to her , show interest in their interests is loved the most by her students and eventually they start loving the subject too .

    1. You are right, Undoubtedly,Smile is an instantaneous transformer. I recall rather clearly, Shri. G. Ramchandani ( former Headmaster Doon School & Consultant to BLPS ) emphasising that we have a responsibility to others in the workplace. An organisation – a school – is made up of the people it contains. Workplace cultures are not imposed, they are created and shaped by everyone , even those new to the profession. Not only will a well-placed smile CHEER UP colleagues who might be having a hard time, but they will hear from pupils how much they enjoy learning with you. That makes school a positive place to work and better for you in the long-run.
Therefore , Smile! Be positive. Let that be your default position.

4.Listen and encourage to others:-Listening’s power, like that of smiling, is strong. When you listen well you not only make an instant impression, you also build a solid bridge for lasting connections. Who can resist being around a person who suspends his thoughts in order to value yours?” asks Carnegie.

Secondly, to make them feel important, talking about their interests are two other major factors that bring best outcomes. Another vital point is to dramatize what we are going to share with them. It makes the lesson interesting and keep the students active and truly engaged in what we want them to learn.

as it is the expression of love . Teacher touches the heart of student through magnetic touch of smile. Smiling face of teacher creates vibration among children which allows to express . They ask questions without hesitations which built healthy relationship among them. So i go with point no 2 Smile.. As all aspects are mandatory

  23. The ability to forge a positive, powerful relationship between a student and teacher may seem like a difficult task first but can be easily accomplished by creating a strong learning environment. The learning is not a one way process alone; an effective learning environment is where all individuals involved learn from each other. While students learn a particular subject from a teacher, the teacher learns how to improve her teaching skills and make the lessons more interesting by gaining insights from the students. Thus, both parties learn from each other.

  24. Consistent communication is the most vital element as it serves to create a connection between the two. A teacher who understands the problems of his or her students and then shapes his or her teaching style in order to interact better with the student can see success, but this takes not simply observation, but communication.

    1. Quite Right, Madam. In fact it’s visible in society that Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is not always the determining factor in student success, but GRIT can be, although it is not tied to intelligence. Therefore, It’s wise to rethink how hard and where we challenge students with unfamiliar and uncomfortable tasks. Working towards facing variety of challenges develops GRIT & Grit can be a positive indicator of success in the long haul. It adds the component of passion to the trait of persistence. This leaves a permanent positive impact on a Student.

  31. In order to make teaching learning process successful, it’s essential to have sound foundation of understanding between the teacher and the student. And for the same purpose, a teacher must make a lasting experience on the students mind.

All the six point, I find equally necessary for it. By calling them from their names with a smiling face can prove miraculous .Since this will create the sense of oneness between them. At the same time, to create trust and credibility, point no 5, 6, and 7 sound the best. A teacher must give her student the space to express. Before being a good speaker, she should be a good listener. The credit must be given to the child for his/her effort. The most importantly a teacher should engage with her students in a empathetic approach.

    1. Quite true about ‘Empathy’, Madam. In fact,A critical part of developing empathy in the School or Workplace is learning to understand, respect and implement another individual’s / Student’s point of view rather than forcing your own. Simply stated, empathy is our ability to put ourselves in the shoes of our Student.
This shows a deep respect for your Students & Colleagues and Also, shows that you care, as opposed to just going by set rules and regulations. Thereby, leaving an imprint of genuine affection with your Students.

Personally,I’ve found there is always something genuinely interesting about what a colleague / Student is doing. All I need to do is to compliment that interest , ask more questions and continue that conversation. It’s fascinating for me, and at the same time builds a greater connection with the Colleague / Student.

It’s true that the teacher-taught relationship is a very pious and pure relationship and it has to be nurtured very carefully so that neither the personal orbit of the teacher is harmed nor the student’s…both must be aware where to draw a line and take a very good care of maintaining a mutual understanding.

It’s quite clear that as technology advances , we continue to spread our attention across multiple screens, problems, and people — often all at once. As a result, attention has become one of the scarcest resources — and one of the most valuable. If we can truly listen it’ll give us a unique edge in a world fragmented by distraction. Sincere listening deals not just with stimulus but with engagement, not just with interaction but with connection. As Simone Weil writes, “Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.”
