  1. In my opinion and experiences No: 4 & 7 hold immense value. In my short experience, I have come to realise that being a leader isn’t about how many people you lead. It’s about how you plan on nurturing your team as you help them reach each tasks goal. Unlike other forms of leadership, authentic leadership is built on CHARACTER.

Most of the time, leaders are simply “acting” as they establish another personality in comparison to their day to day lives. But AUTHENTIC leadership, stems from virtues such as PURPOSE, PASSION, SELF DISCIPLINE , HUMILITY & SOLID UN-SHAKEABLE VALUES.

Our authentic leader, must have a flexible style — one that accommodates each teammate. Not only that, but they must be able to take on multiple roles, as they are a mentor and coach. Regardless of the situation, a true authentic leader puts his authenticity above all else and keep communication as real as possible.

  2. According to me point no. 2,3 & 4 is very important because the best leaders care and show empathy. When you truly care about someone, you think about them and their needs. Effective, ethical leaders use different approaches in different situations. Leaders need to understand why they are doing something and be clear about their own values and goals when applying their influence skills. Authentic leaders are open and honest which promotes trust. Growing leaders are constantly updating and expanding their skills and knowledge.

    1. Absolutely agree , Madam. Caring creates trust, and trust creates loyalty. Loyalty is what makes good people stay and take good care of the organisation. In a well read Harvard Business Review article titled, “Good Bosses Create More Wellness Than Wellness Plans Do,” we see that when people have a good relationship with their leaders, they’re more motivated, they perform better, and they’re more likely to go the extra mile to support their team.

It is the important skill to always inspire others. Leaders must keep their messages authentic .Leaders create time and space for themselves and for employees to pause and reconnect with the most important values. Finally, Leaders with goals ,constantly do something and try new stuff to move forward .

    1. Every point is very important. I can’t choose a few of them, but Caring for others and living with Humility are the best points. If leader cares for the staff, they will work more harder and result will be very very good. Same like this, Humility is the best way to give respect to someone. It is a great virtue. A leader can be a best leader with this virtue.

  5. I believe that no 7 serve with humality is essential as if a true leader always has humility. It is through humility that a leader sees and treats everyone as equal. Without humility, a leader can turn into a despot. Humility offers a balance to the power inherent in leadership. It humanizes the leader and brings him closer to the people he leads. In the workplace, a humble leader becomes strong by earning his team’s respect and therefore their loyalty.Humility is a valuable attribute to have in order to become a more effective leader.

    1. I completely agree, Sir. HUMBLE leadership really works. As a leader — no matter how long you’ve been in your role or how hard the journey was to get there — you are there because you’re bringing out the best in your employees. Unfortunately, many leaders lose sight of this. I’m a strong believer that HUMILITY in a leader helps people feel purposeful, motivated, and energized so they can bring their best selves to work.

  6. In my point of view point no.2 & 3 are important.Every leader should have a quality to care for others and by doing good efforts growing continuously. This shows that every person is important and if the leader is doing best and getting the goal it means we are on right track. It gives inspiration to do efforts to get the goal.

  7. Everyone wants to advance forward in their career but sometimes that can be easier said than done. You have to set goals and determine certain benchmarks for yourself in order to prove that you have what it takes to move up the ladder. Whether you’re working in an entry level position or advancing to a junior executive role being a leader is about continually developing and finessing hard and soft skills. Those hard leadership skills are the ones that helped you get hired having the proven ability to perform your duties within a specific position while soft skills tie in more with like ability and personality. The goals you have will ultimately shift as you continue to advance forward. The key areas to focus in order to become a well-rounded leader.

  9. I think point no.7 is very important quality of a leader which he/she should possess.Leadership doesn’t mean that you are just imposing your decisions on others ,a good leader should empower others ,he/she should motivate them to participate in every activity.Leadership is not a permit to dominate over others.Empowering others is the main responsibility and duty of a good leader .According to me ,other main point is to grow continuously.Because I think we should never stop learning new things ,new updates.Because a good leader updated with technology, new updates in world ,society etc can teach others in a good way and will prove to be a good leader having adequate leadership qualities.

  11. A leaders role is to transform an individual in order to encourage creativity. A leader needs to empower. The young minds need to discover their vocations and responsibilities and not cram their minds with facts and technical knowledge.Human achievement in every field is driven by the desire to explore, to test and prod, to see what happens, to question how things work and to wonder why .The classroom should be interactive, and problem solving and creative.

According to me, point no: 2 & 6 is very important because A Leader who is able to face Challenges and Hardships and also able to compete those challenges and get positive results will be a great admiration and a perfect examples for others also to motivate them. As well as Caring for others also makes you a good leader and even help you to create your own career with full dedication.

  13. You are quite right about No: 6, Madam. The most resilient, impressive leaders I know have found ways to be courageous in the face of great adversity; life challenges lift them up instead of knock them down. I’ve seen my most resilient mentors use the following 3 techniques successfully when faced with HARDSHIPS:
    1. What will facing up to the situation teach me.
    2. They don’t get furious, rather they get Curious.
    3. Whom do I know that has overcome similar obstacles to those that stand in my way.

In fact, the people who have learned to look at challenges as valuable teaching moments are the wisest and strongest leaders that I know.

  14. According to me, point no 2,6 and 7 are important for leadership quality. A caring leader is someone who has genuine interest in others. A leader must know how to manage the work with the hardship qualities…. “Role of humility is not thinking less of yourself,it is thinking of yourself less” . In leadership ,it can be tempting to become enamored with status. “Humble leaders are those who have an accurate perception of strengths and their weaknesses and know their need of others. Humility shows up in the quality of relationships that leaders form with their peers and people that report into them. It signals that they appreciate the contribution of others.

    1. Quite True about Humility, Madam. Over the years substantial research shows that humility predicts effective leadership. Also, at the annual Human Resource management programmes at IIM Ahmedabad – great deal of emphasis is laid on ‘Humility’ as top quality in trained managers, experts at IIM explain through the programmes that Humility is associated with ” minimizing status differences, listening to subordinates, soliciting input, admitting mistakes and being willing to change course when a plan seems not to work.”

  15. A Leader is someone who is more than simply an expert. It is someone who is an “expert among experts” within a particular profession.form of caring is one of the gifts that others are attracted to. Caring creates trust, and trust creates loyalty. Loyalty is what makes good people stay and take good care of organisation so ill go with point no 2 care for others which i feel more important in leadership.

    1. Indeed,No.6 generates immense influence. Very often, the lessons learned from confronting fear and uncertainty, and from experiencing frustration, TRANSFORM good leaders into GREAT ones. You will notice around you today, leaders who have ENDURED adversity are most likely to be INSPIRATIONAL and also, the ones with the resilience and resolve to succeed.

  16. According to me point no. 2,3 & 4 are most important because the best leaders care and show empathy. Probably the most difficult job for a leader is to persuade others to follow. It can only be possible if you inspire your followers by setting a good example. When the going gets tough, they look up to you and see how you react to the situation. If you handle it well, they will follow you. As a leader, should think positive and this positive approach should be visible through your actions. Stay calm under pressure and keep the motivation level up.

  18. To become a good leader, you must have all these qualities but if you lack some of these qualities, then you might struggle to make the mark in the world of leadership. You will have to set a good example for others to follow. That is where your commitment, passion, empathy, honesty and integrity come into play. Good communication skills and decision-making capabilities also play a vital role in success and failure of a leader. Lastly, innovation and creative thinking, as well as the futuristic vision, are a couple of key traits which make a leader stand out.

    1. You are absolutely right about ‘ Decision Making ‘ , Madam. In fact, when we think of what makes someone a great leader, a prominent characteristic that comes to mind is decisiveness. We do not envision successful leaders standing around appearing unclear and uncertain.
Instead, we view them as people who are able to quickly arrive at their decisions and communicate the goals to others. Also, an ability of making good decisions in difficult situations promptly is no small feat because such types of decisions involve change, uncertainty, anxiety, stress, and sometimes the unfavorable reactions of others.
I have observed that Good leaders understand how to balance emotion with reason while communicating decisions.

  23. I think the ability to motivate and inspire others to take action is the distinguishing factor between a leader and a manager. The best leaders are those who can successfully influence up, down and across the organization, impacting business results by driving behavior change.Influencing behavior is not a one-time event, but a continuous process and investment that organizations should make in their employees. By incorporating influence training into leadership development programs, organizations are setting their leaders up for success.

    1. You are quite right, Madam. In fact, we all believe that great leaders make a choice to GROW in 3 areas. In a nutshell, to be a great leader, I’m of the strong opinion that we must:

      a)Gain Knowledge
b)Reach Out to Others with that Knowledge to assist them when required.
      c) Apply new knowledge / ideas into work towards accomplishing daily tasks.

Also, Continuing to learn and grow leads not only to professional success, but also to personal fulfilment.

  24. I think living authentically is the most important aspect of a leader’s life. A leader should be able enough to manage hardship. Growing continuously is also a vital part of a leader’s personality but it should not be at the stake of others’ dreams. A good leader always takes care of the well being of his/her employees.

  25. A leader is a soul of any institution. Whatever occurs in that zone is somewhat is direct and indirect result of his/her actions. No doubt while execution, the whole faculty is required but it is the leader who initiates. A leader who influences carries the qualities mentioned in point no. 1, 2, 5 and 7.

A leader must try to provide a helping hand to the employee’s around. They should give when even they don’t have to. Being caring makes a leader stand apart from the crowd. A team leader must be caring about the team mates. She\he should have a beating hearts. She\ he should empower his\her teammates in all possible ways. She \He should serve his/her teammates with humility.

    1. You are quite right about being the ‘ Soul’, In fact, at the Toyota Motor Corporation – Team leaders at every level take time for reflection to ask themselves critical questions. Specifically, three key questions: a)Who am I? b)What do I want? & c) What am I grateful for? The key is to live the questions and life will move you towards the answers. I have had the privilege to observe this closely at their factory in Bangalore.

  28. Leaders have to lead their team with their thoughts, their ideas, their footsteps, their initiatives. They influence others with their actions. A leader must possess all the abovesaid qualities to make himself a role model. But according to me “the ability to take decisions with confidence even if the situation is hard and at the same time ability to keep the team prompt to work and execute the plan enthusiastically make a good leader.

Such individuals know they can navigate change and make their Team, their community/,their home, or the workplace a better place. We have great respect for those we know who have tackled challenges head on.

To my min d all the seven points are quite needed to be a leader. A leader is just like the engine of a train who has the capability to lead the boggies, likewise a leader shows the path to the followers and helps them reach perfection.

  37. According to me all points have their own importance. Successful leaders deflect attention away from themselves and encourage others to voice their opinions. They are experts at making others feel safe to speak-up and confidently share their perspectives and points of view. They use their executive presence to create an approachable environment.Successful leaders love being leaders – not for the sake of power but for the meaningful and purposeful impact they can create. When you have reached a senior level of leadership – it’s about your ability to serve others and this can’t be accomplished unless you genuinely enjoy what you do.
