Fruit and yogurt have been identified individually as indicators of healthy dietary patterns. Fruits are relatively low in energy density and are an excellent source of antioxidants and prebiotic fibers and polyphenols, which can promote digestive health. Yogurt, on the other hand, is a nutrient-dense food that is a good source of dairy protein, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B-12, conjugated linoleic acid, and other key fatty acids. In addition, it contains beneficial bacterial cultures, making it a potential source of probiotics.

I would say fruits would be a fantastic substitute for sugar. Fruits are naturally occurring sugar substances, which are not only pretty healthy for us but even they have fructose that is naturally occurring sugar which is harmless unlike the processed sugar available the market.

  15. I would go with FRUITS as the best substitute for refined sugar in our diet.

Fruit contains two types of natural sugars, along with fiber, important vitamins and minerals, phytochemicals, and water. Since fruit sugar comes along with the fiber and water in the fruit, our body takes more time to break it down.
This is in contrast to the highly processed added and manufactured sugars that are worse for our health. These processed sugars are metabolized very quickly by the body, leading to blood sugar spikes, hormonal changes, and cravings.
The water and fiber in fruit will work together to improve our digestion, keep things moving along regularly, and promoting healthy gut bacteria.

☔️ Point no. 2 ( Fruits ) = When most people feel sugar cravings, they reach for high-sugar foods like chocolate but fruits are naturally sweet & also contains lots of beneficial plant compounds, fiber & Vitamins. Berries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries & raspberries are some of the best fruits to consume when we are having sugar cravings because these fruits are low-glycemic fruits & they provide plenty of sweetness without spiking blood sugar.

  17. Greetings everyone!!

I would like to choose dates as a healthy sugar substitute.

While it’s perfectly healthy to enjoy foods that contain a small amount of added sugar on occasion, keeping your total sugar intake to a minimum may help reduce your risk of these conditions and improve your health in other ways. Still, it can be substituted with dates.
Dates are the dried fruits of the date palm tree. These sweet, chewy fruits are an excellent alternative to refined sugar and offer several health benefits.

Unlike refined sugar and many other sweeteners, dates are a good source of nutrients, including fiber, potassium, magnesium, manganese, vitamin B6, and carotenoid and polyphenol antioxidants.

Because of their sweet taste, you can use dates in place of sugar in recipes for energy bars, cakes and cookies. Furthermore, you can blend them to flavor homemade nut milks and smoothies.
Dates are high in calories and natural sugars, but studies note that they don’t significantly affect blood sugar levels like table sugar does, even among people with diabetes.

  18. I think fruits and dates are the best options to replace sugar. Fruits and dates are natural sources of sugar which are not harmful for our body and health. So it’s better to consume natural sugar and avoid the artificial one.

  19. Greetings of the day!!!!!

We all know how important protein is to our diet, but making sure we have enough at each meal is also helpful for staving off sugar cravings. “Eat protein and fiber at every meal! This is the most important tool you could have on your plate,” says Brooke Alpert, RD, and author of The Diet Detox. “Both protein and fiber help to slow down the absorption of sugar to prevent any blood sugar spikes which would make you crave more sugar. Plus, they help keep you fuller longer, leaving you more in control over your food choices and less likely to dive into that cupcake!”

  34. I go with Dark Chocolate.
Dark chocolate contains 50-90% cocoa solids, cocoa butter, and sugar, whereas milk chocolate contains anywhere from 10-50% cocoa solids, cocoa butter, milk in some form, and sugar. Though dark chocolate should not contain milk, there may be traces of milk from cross-contamination during processing, as the same machinery is often used to produce milk and dark chocolate. Lower quality chocolates may also add butter fat, vegetable oils, or artificial colors or flavors. White chocolate does not contain any cocoa solids and is made simply of cocoa butter, sugar, and milk.
