I know teachers have a difficult job, and they can’t cater to every student’s individual needs. But I do feel that introverted students get the short end of the stick — Could Teachers do more to make the school experience more comfortable for them ? Which of the following 10 aspects of dealing with Introverts would help them most?

These all points are very important to deal with introverted students but i think point no.1 and 2 are most important.Never embarrass them in public ,bcz they will feel inferior,and their morale will be down .It will hurt their self esteem,self respect and confidence.They need respect .Because u can never question anybody’s nature ,introversion is a type of nature.So ,to deal with them ,you should have a polite and friendly nature .Try to win their trust ,because these type of people don’t trust or share something with others easily.

This is true that extroverts are more happier than introverts. Spending time with others makes you more happier. Introverts are more sensitive with their emotions and surroundings. According to me point no… 3,5,10 matters a lot beacause introvert students are actually quite and reserved . They always prefer to spend time alone than with others . So its better to observe them in new situations what actually they want to do and motivate them to find out one best friend to share thoughts,ideas and fellings in their surroundings.

The first and the foremost thing we should understand the individuals who are introverts. We should respect them and not find faults. Everyone has his strengths and weaknesses. His strengths should be identified and channelized. He should not be left alone. He should be allowed to sit with a group of people and encouraged to take part in discussions.

All the points are very important but it is very important to never embarrass the student in front of others. We should always try to motivate the student which will increase his confidence and be friendly with such students.

According to me, all the points are to be kept in mind while dealing with introverts but most important are 2,4,8 and 10. Dealing with introverts is challenging. Because extroverts are able to tackle all the situations and express themselves with confidence. Whereas, introverts require motivation to present themselves and a little confidence to be shown in them that they can do anything. This exposure can bring difference in their lives.

I feel we really need to consider about point number 12,as a teacher we keep on trying to convert the child being an extrovert… Besides points 2,3 and 4 are quite relevant… We need to treat them differently

First of all, we have to learn more about our students – who they are and what motivates them. Only then can we choose the methods that are suitable for all students in the class. Don’t try to change introverts. Instead, try to do everything possible to encourage them to work. And don’t try to get introverts out of their comfort zone. It’s up to them to leave it or not. If and when they do, be attentive to them.

I think we should not go with point no.1. If we’ll give them them space for their privacy. They would never able to overcome with it.

Introvert students need special attention than the extrovert students. Point no 2,3,4,5…are more important. Because that students need councelling ..we cannot embrass in public..Try to observe in different different situations…Create new situations towards them then observe what they think about that situation…then observe their thinking that the thinking is critical,analytical and logical…handle according to their thinking .Donot expect the instant answers from them give time to think ….that will help to build confidence and motivational thinking in between them. That will help to create positivity in introvert students.

Being an introvert isn’t always easy, especially in a (western) society where extroverted people are more appreciated or, to be more accurate, are in a much better position since their personality enables them to achieve their goals by leveraging many different social connections and being more assertive among people and organizational hierarchies. I’ve seen many introverts who could achieve much more if they’d develop a few social skills or invest in a competence or two usually assigned to extroverts as a natural strength. So all the points are important.

In my opinion No: 9 holds the key – By simply offering introverts tasks that allow them to shine as leaders, you’re helping them to grow and develop – and show their classmates what they’re capable of. In the world of organised business Introverts are known to make very powerful leaders. They are very good listeners. They are very good at delegating and analyzing a lot of different perspectives. When they do move into leadership roles, they actually outperform their extroverted colleagues in some situations.

According to me, point no.4 is very important because this is one of the best teaching strategies that you can use to support your introverted students is to give them time to answer after you ask a question. When you give them a few minutes instead of expecting an answer right away, you’re giving them time to think and gather their thoughts. This works really well with introverted students, because they won’t feel the pressure to talk right away when they don’t feel prepared. It’s also helps you deal with the extroverted students who are always raising their hands and blurting out an answer. If all of your students know that every time you ask a question they have 2-3 minutes to think, then everybody wins.

All the points matter a lot.The thing that matters is that we need to be friendly first with the introverts.we should give them time to expose themselves and all time encouragement is quite essential for them.according to me they should not at all be embarrassed and teachers can counsel them and communicate with them privately also.sometimes we can give them sufficient time also so as to make themselves comfortable with the existing environment.

Oftentimes, introverted students go unnoticed because they tend to be more reserved and prefer to stay quiet and like to be left alone. These students get less attention, which in turn makes them feel underappreciated. What teachers can do is play on the students’ strengths. Something as simple as a tap on the shoulder, making eye contact, or a smile can all show your introverted students that you see them and appreciate them.

In my opinion , the last three points hits to the top most priority. A teacher is not only the person to teach but teacher is the one who is responsible for overall grooming of a child . I believe we should not force a child to imitate others . Give them private time . It is indirect way to enhance their confident and will bring out creativity from them .

All the points are equally important but according to me points 1&2 are means a lot for introverts. Introvers may be judged for their lack of participation. They think deeply and very sensitive. We as a teacher should respect their needs for privacy and never embarrass them in public. They have their own strengths that should be recognized and encouraged time to time.

Introvert behaviour is not a problem rather i find positive things in it as if children of such behaviour are supported properly, they develop powerful concentration skills. Such students need to be handled skillfully. They need their own time to do the things which should be respected but side by side supported with guidance and encouragement.

All points are important. But acc.to me point no.2,4,5 & 9 are more important. We should not embarrass them in public it will hurt their confidence & respect.We should give them enough time express themselves & not to interrupt while they are expressing their views. We can motivate & help such students by teaching them different skills .

According to me all points are very important. In order to handle Give them time to formulate their thoughts. So point no 2 is very important never embarrass them in public give them plenty of time to be alone. … Repremid them in privately The purpose is to confront the student, identify the problem, provide a means to correct it.

Acc to me we should not embarras child in public because this will hurt his self esteem. We should personally talk with him. Moreover we should enable him to find one best friend of similar qualities. With this he will feel more comfortable.

Without any shadow of doubt, extroverts are applauded everywhere and get spontaneous appreciation however I strongly believe that introversion has its own merits..its perfectly all right to be introvert..one must understand a thin line difference between being passive and being introvert.we being teachers and mentors must comprehend whether my student is passive or just introvert. There is nothing wrong in being introvert I passionately reckon that introverts are insight thinkers and one should respect it, giving them space to share their ideas and insights surely reinforce them optimistically and if there s any point where they should be reprimended , it must be privately as introverts are knitted with sensivity too

All the points are importants but according to me points 1,2,3,4, 5, 10, are more important. Introvert behaviour is not a problem rather i find positive things in it. When we should provide them comfortable environment to do the work then they should feel happy and do the work without hesitation.

Dealing with introvert students is really a challenging task. To make them have better school experience, teacher should not embarras them in public, they should be given some time to think for answers, teacher should help them to find a best friend who should have similar interests. This will boost their morale and they will start taking interest in class room activities.

Each and every student is unique in their own way.A teacher must understand those individual differences and cater them with different pedagogies.In above check list ,I am much agree to point no.1,2 and 12.A teacher must not temper an introvert student’s privacy.He/She should never be embarrassed in public.And the most important …do not ever try to convert an introvert child into an extrovert child.Accept them as they are.

Point no 5 is more valid to me since I feel a teacher should not interrupt an introvert child in their acts.They must be provided their free zone to nurture completely.

A teacher should reprimand an introvert child privately in stead of correcting them publicly.It Will hinder their growth.So point no.8 is much appealing to me.

According to me , Introvert students needs special attention. We need to ask them questions related to subject and beyond the subject also so that , they learn to communicate in front of many people. We need to give them presentations so that they will become confident in interacting with so many people together. Such students needs our care and support and if we do that, definitely they will grow and do much better.

I thnk the best way to deal with them is to respect their intovertism as they are comfortable in it and i think the way they can perform in that zone they would not be possible if we push them to something they wont fit in. So to give them a good environment it is worth to respect how they are and not to make them akward about themselves.

Greetings for the day! I would start with saying that it’s not only the introverts rather for every student , a teacher should follow aforementioned points…not to embarrass a child publicly, reprimand a student privately..so on and so forth…this is what we all have read during B.Ed. in the form of a subject – Child Psychology in Education, wherein all these points have been shared and discussed in an elaborate way. A student must be given the requisite space …he/she must be made to realize that his/her existence is quite important in the classroom.

According to me, all the points should taken care of while dealing with introverts. But 2 and 3 point are more important we should not embarrass them in front of others this way they feel hesitate and never come forward. On the other side it is equally important to give them sufficient time so that they can adjust in the new environment and explore it.

According to me 2nd and 8th point is more important.To deal with introvert child in class we have consider following points:-
Try to talk to each student in person, so that you can better understand his or her interests. This knowledge will be extremely valuable for our further work in the class.
Don’t let overactive students be the only ones who share their ideas.
After you’ve asked students a question, give them enough time to think everything over and make some notes. Sometimes it takes them a bit more time to put their ideas in order and answer the question.
Let introverted students know that you’ll ask them a question in advance, so that it won’t be stressful for them to answer on the spot. Or ask students to answer your questions one by one in sequence so they can see what’s coming.
Use group work. Though introverts are not the best team players, group work can be quite useful for them. Why not work in a small group and share one project? It’s a good experience even for shy students.
If students weren’t active in the class, ask them to send their answers in writing for you to assess.
Mix writing and discussions, choosing a variety of methods whenever possible.
By keeping these simple strategies in mind, you’ll be much more successful in engaging all our students in the classroom, whether they are introverted or extroverted.

I think the best way to deal with them is to respect their intovertism as they are comfortable in it and i think the way they can perform in that zone they would not be possible if we push them to something they wont fit in.

We should try to understand that being an introvert, a student should not be left behind. In fact, a teacher should encourage him/her to be open and to avail all the opportunities. one thing should be kept in mind that he should not know that you are paying extra attention to them because it may embarrass them. Moreover i would go with points 2 and 8 where we should always reprimand that privately to make them realize of their feelings.

Teachers, pay attention to how your students perform in all areas of your class, not just in class discussions.Grading students on class participation is a teacher’s way of trying to encourage students to be active and engaged.

I believe that we need to do general teacher training to just make them aware of what makes a student an introvert, what that means, and how best to cultivate the talent of those students. To raise awareness of what an extroverted act it is in the first place to go to school. All day long, you are in a classroom full of people with constant stimulation. Even for introverted kids who really like school, it’s still a very overstimulating experience.
